Character Spotlight - Bagi Warrior, Part 1 - the Tank Can Farm, Too

High level Bagis (Bagi Warriors) can be intimidating, since they can take a lot of damage and still press on, both through mobs and in PvP. But did you know Bagi's are also good for farming? A Bagi has several Area of Effect (AOE) skills useful in grinding:
  • Violent Gale. A piercing, three-hit linear AOE skill. The third and last hit knocks back monsters.
  • Earthquake. A single-hit large area AOE that stuns. 1 point into this skill is often enough. Max it out at 10 and stun duration is lengthened; the cool down is also reduced to 6 seconds, allowing you to abuse it.
  • Tornado. Initially the swirling wind around the Bagi delivers three hits; becomes a five-hit skill at level 8.
  • Outrage. Five hits. The most damaging AOE a Bagi has.
  • Dead Spark. A buff that pulses six times, with a mild knock back on each pulse.
  • Shockwave. A two-hit AOE. The last hit both stuns and leans into the mob, allowing for a follow-up AOE.
  • Bull's Cry. A single hit AOE that knocks mobs back and away, towards the direction the Bagi is facing. This also grants the Bagi extra attack speed, damage, and critical hit rate. Since this move dislodges the mobs from the damage area of a Seg's CF, this is not often used, except as a last move to "clean up."
Granted, these AOEs do not inflict a rapid sequence of high damage hits, as the Aqua Circle of a Mage (Incar Magician) would. But they are enough to keep the mobs within the Bagi's range. When applied in good sequence, they can keep the Bagi and the party members alive.

Single players who log in and control dual accounts often use either a Segnale (Seg) and a Mage, or a Bagi. A Mage can inflict high damage, but when the Seg's CF and Hyper Heal get cancelled, it's up to the Bagi to take control with his stun and knockback moves, until the Seg can recover.
